This is a good vegetarian book. The recipes are easy to prepare. The basics are ease, quality, price, and quantity. One of cookie recipe for under $5 makes 48 cookies that are nutritional and taste good in 30 minutes. Great for any last minute need to bring occasions. This is a collection of my middle daughters favorite food. I have dedicated this book to her. The food for preparing is dairy, vegetables, fruits, grains, cornmeal, rice, oats and some nuts. The dairy is probiotic yogurts and the nuts can be substituted with dried fruit. Simplicity is the key in this book , with nutrition and price. The ingredients are commonly kept in a well stocked pantry. Vegetarian eating, cooking and preparation is easy . Almost all recipes can be prepared and made in 30 minutes for under $5.00. This book is compatible to gluten free eating. All the recipes are gluten free or can have gluten free grain used. The dairy is probiotic yogurt and milk allergy tolerable. The nuts can be eliminated. Overall it is a good little book with lots of variety, drinks, desserts, main course, entries, and salads.
About the Author
My name is Marilyn Storey. I live in Vancouver, British Columbia. I have a business degree from the U.of B.C. I am dedicating this book to my daughter, Heather Mary Storey , a vegetarian for over 9 years. I spent 15 years cooking meals in home care for various patients in the home care program. I know how to make a fast, inexpensive, nutritional meal. I raised 5 children and the collection of recipes in this book is their favorites.
