About the Book

HIGH - On LOVE & ADDICTION follows the relationship between two women. During the relationship, it is discovered that one of the women is addicted to crack cocaine. After years of dealing with the addiction, April runs away to another state. When tragedy occurs, it brings the two back together. The book chronicles the ups and downs of the relationship and Jeanie's struggle to get clean.

About the Author

April was raised in Richmond, VA. She has been writing, mostly poetry; since age seven. She is a graduate of Virginia State University. Her hobbies include cooking, crafting, visiting new places and serving her community. She is a member of The National Society of Pershing Angels Military Sorority and founder of Omega Chi Theta Sorority, Inc. She has been employed as a photographer for the past 12 years. She resides in Greensboro, North Carolina. Jeanie was raised and educated in Randolph, MA. She moved to Richmond, VA shortly after graduating high school to pursue a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Manangement. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her Yamaha motorcycle and attending various NA events. She has worked in the restaurant business for nearly 30 years. She currently resides in Durham, North Carolina. Rainbow has been clean and sober since July 31, 2006.
