The name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run into it and they are Safe.
A mother’s prayer is the best gift a child can receive from his parents. Almost every woman wishes to have the blessing of having a child or children. However, after we are blessed with such mysteriously adorable bundles of joyful gifts; we sometimes forget to keep them constantly in our prayers. The bible clearly states that “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16). As parents and grandparents, God is our righteousness, so we know that when we keep our children fervently in prayer a lot of positive things will be accomplished in their lives. The apostle Paul tells us in II Cor. 10:3-5 that “the weapons of our warfare are not flesh but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds, pulling down every imagination and everything that exalts itself......bringing into captivity every thought”. So when we are not praying effectively for our children, for the gifts that God has graciously blessed us with, what happens....?, the evil one takes control and you can name it with all the vices that are happening in the schools and our societies today.
In our daily lives we try as much as we can to protect our belongings, we install security alarms in our homes; we inscribe our names on our properties to prevent others from taking them or to make others aware that the property belongs to us. We possess our possessions in our own human ways. Our children are ours from the Lord most high. We cannot be with them twenty four hours daily, and seven days a week. However we still need to protect them and the only effective way to do this is to pray for them. Our security company is the seat of the Lord most high. The angels of God Almighty are our watch technicians constantly on the alert for any alarms as we have committed our children to their watch. It is our duty as christian parents to constantly keep our children in prayers under the constant watch of the most high God. He requests you to lead your children to Him "Let the children come to me" (Mathew 19:14). As parents, you have a genuine, tender love for your children; you understand them more than anyone else does. This makes you the most qualified person to call upon God Almighty earnestly for your children in an urgent way that He will not refuse; for He is God.
This book is a companion in your daily devotional prayers for your children. When I say your children, I mean children from conceptions to a hundred years old and beyond. No matter how old our children are, they are still our children and we have the responsibility of praying the prayers of blessings and the promises of God Almighty upon them. Speak words of blessings upon your children daily. As parents, especially women, we have miracles in our mouths; we need to constantly speak these miracles upon our children daily.
Isaiah 55:10-11 states: “for as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thiter, but waterreth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth. It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Knowing that God’s word is ye and amen and cannot fail when spoken in faith and believed in; we need to always remember to speak words of blessings upon our children daily, and our words will not return void, but shall accomplish in our children, the blessings we have sent the words to accomplish.
The word of God states that “no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of God, and their righteousness is of me says the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17).
Do not forget or let the evil one deceive you....God is your righteousness, so you have the power to speak words of glory and blessings upon your children from conception, birth and onward. A glorious generation will be born from these prayers.
Joshua commands us that “this book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success" (Joshua 1:8)
