"I should call Donnelly and try to figure out if he can make me another transaction."
"He's on his way."
The sound of a click came next as Donell looked up at her. The chrome revolver stared back at him. Her arm was shaky, but she still tried keeping a steady aim.
"Whoa Lisa, what's...what's this?"
She shook her head.
"You can't be serious. No, you can't be."
Donell didn't want to make any sudden moves. First, his focus went to the revolver, then into Lisa's eyes. They started to water. So right then, he could tell his girl was serious. He'd just never seen this side to her before. Putting up both hands reassuringly, he tried to calm her down.
"C'mon baby, let's talk about this."
"Good idea. Let’s talk then. You were the man, were you? You were the man setting high standards in this game for yourself."
