About the Book

Throughout Gwen’s career in music and theatre, God breathed words of encouragement, peace and love to her soul. She penned these words into poems and used them through the years to not only edify herself but to encourage others. This book is a compilation of those poems; gathered together to share the same words of encouragement, hope and inspiration that God used to sustained her spirit throughout her life.

Life tends to throw many situations our way; victories, defeats, joy, disappointments, happiness and trials. These encouraging poems cover the different twists and turns of life and will edify, strengthen and teach all who read this inspirational book.

It is Gwen’s prayer that all who read this book would be edified and will draw strength to continue to live and pursue God. This book will serve as a reminder that God will never leave you nor forsake you. God will always speak to you no matter what you’re going through or facing in life. As you read it, meditate on the words and allow the Holy Spirit to comfort, encourage and inspire you.

About the Author

Gwendolyn McDowell was born and raised in Washington DC. Her foster parents noticed she was gifted in the arts as a child. At the early age of nine years old, Gwen began singing in the church choir, participating in plays and talent shows from elementary through junior high school. At fourteen years old, she auditioned and was accepted at the Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts in Washington D.C in the Vocal Major Department.

She graduated in 1984 from Duke Ellington. Her career has afforded her the opportunity to travel across the United States and over the world including Jamaica, England & Russia in musical theatre. She has performed with various gospel artists over the years such as the Richard Smallwood Singers, Lynette Hawkins, Maurette Brown-Clark and Lacresia Campbell to name a few.

Currently Gwen lives in Maryland where she continues to serve the Lord with the talents and gifts with which he blessed her. She has two daughters Mycah McDowell, Cierra Jennings, a son-in-law Claude Jennings Jr. & a grandson Claude Jennings IIIPaste your document here
