About the Book

Each of us has a belief system in which at one extreme rejects everything that cannot be proved and at the other is open to all possibilities. Most of us believe in an afterlife although we don’t all agree on what, where and how is that life is to be lived. Do our souls roam the earth, go to Heaven…or Hell or somewhere in between? This story touches on the latter wherein a reclusive Metaphysicist has opened a portal from his convervatory into Purgatory or a Netherland where many of the masters of old who are all destined for Heaven remain because they feel their lives were cut short obviating the opportunity to complete their lives’ works.

About the Author

The author is a 25 year veteran of the United States Air Force and has traveled extensively in the United States and Europe. After leaving the military, he joined industry as an engineer and later as the Quality Assurance Manager for a company serving most of the world. He received his college education at California Polytechnic University in Pomona, CA. He has always enjoyed classical music and has collected many recordings over the years. This interest extends to the histories of many of the composers serving as the basis of this work. He includes many facts as well as some conclusions based upon his knowledge of the composers and artists. As for a specific qualification for such a writing, there is none other than that which every author must have, imagination and the ability to  express words to the vision.
