About the Book

This book is a book of encouragement, enlightenment and inspiration all inspired by what God has bless with: My gift of poetry.  This book is for everyone of all nationalities and ages that believe in God, the Father, Jesus Christ, the son and the Holy Spirit.  This book is also written to bless and well as inspire you no matter what level you are in your belief.  My desire is that you would read this daily, weekly and at any function where you feel the enlightenment or inspiration of God can be a blessing.  Also feel free to email me back for any positive feedback at: les.pollard@yahoo.com

About the Author

My name is Leslie Barnett Pollard and I have been writing poetry for years.  I was born in Longview, TX and raised just outside of Henderson, TX.  I was raised by my dad, Leslie Sr. and mom, Audrey Pollard.  Although my mom, Audrey I. Pollard was not my biological mom, I loved her as she also loved me as I was her own.  Both of my parents passed away in June of 1997 approx. 11 days apart.  During this time of my grief I asked the Lord to give me something to help me through this tragic time in my life, thus he brought my poetry side back to life.  I had written many poems before then but none of the poetry was sincere or spiritual inclined.  My biological mother is alive but we still growing to learn and understand each other.  I do love her and try to bless her and my grandmother as I grow. My biological mother is Ara Lee Todd and grandmother is Olivia Ayers/Portley. Every since 1997 I have been writing poetry on a fairly regular basis and this book is the spiritually gifted side of what God has given me.  Many poems have already been read and heard in many churches.  These are the spiritual poems I've written from 1997 up to 2008.  My hope is that these poems not only inspire you but tell others of the wonderful inspiration and enlightenment these poems has given you and will give others as they read and hear these poems.  I have been blessed not only to write but to live and experience many blessings through their encouragement and inspiration.  May you all enjoy and experience the joy, praise, enlightenment, encouragement and inspiration as you read and see how God's word encouraged and inspired me!
