At Midnight

“Wrong answer,” John said to him quietly. Mr. Stewart brought his leg up and kicked out his foot and a loud snap frightened me. He hit him right in the nose and it began to bleed. He squirmed but couldn’t get out of his brothers grip without his hands. I had to do something but my eyes couldn’t be drawn away. I couldn’t leave him with them but I was too weak to go and help.

“Are you ready to listen yet?” Mr. Stewart taunted.

“No and leave Ally alone!” He screamed again. His father kicked him with full force in the neck. Kyle chocked and coughed and his breathing was hard. Leave him alone you sick man!
