Katie and Dan had a cat called Whispers who they loved very much. She was a pretty little cat, just a little bigger than a kitten, with soft grey fur and two round green eyes that glowed in the dark. She was a shy little cat who never went far from the house. When it was dinner-time, Mum would call her name and Whispers would come running up the path ready for her meal. Then she would meow and rub her soft furry body against the children to say hello.
