Chapter 16: Next best greater than What is greater than the last? What is better than what was left behind and is now in the past? What fulfills our innermost desires? What brings about an imbalance of power? Why do we have to endure the constant hustle and bustle, a seemingly endless tug of war? Do we leave what no longer serves a purpose for us or perhaps is it what no longer can be a benefit to them? If you look at the spiritual aspect, things are definitely out of order. Is “love” so great that we can not see that what we are setting our sights upon is starting to fluctuate? A shift in how we do things, a movement that leads to a placement without a ring. In the end you learn that what you thought was the next best greater than is actually no better than or less than the last. What is better than the first, what is greater than the last? What happens next as I seek to move on from the past? To leave behind what you thought would be forever, when I looked at the 7 day forecast, I still couldn’t predict this type of weather! Prepare for a storm, prepare not to be emotionally harmed, but when it started snowing, I was not physically prepared to stay warm. In search of sunshine, yet a bit fatigued from traveling along the mind; yet somehow, we learn to leave some things behind as we move on to the next, in search of what was better than the last less greater than. Chapter 20: Genocide Its confusion its madness; or maybe we just hide behind what is termed as genocide! Drugs and alcohol aren’t the only substances that are abused to destroy our people. If you really want to be honest, let’s talk about how our people destroy our people. You complain, nag, and moan about the direction that this generation is going in; yet, you never stop to take the time out to educate your fellow man/woman. All you do is stereotype, misjudge, and wrongfully accuse; if you really got to know me, then you could see what I am capable of being able to do; for the good, but you don’t care because in your mind all you see is bad. You want the people that you want to respect, admire, and adore you to see you in a positive light, but for the people that you can reach out and teach the most, you leave them in the darkness by showing them the negative. Question why I have a lack of respect and why when you slap me with the Bible, it seems to not have an effect; I’m sorry to inform you that “logic” is used to differentiate what is manipulation and deception be it spiritual, mental, or physical. I’m sorry and I don’t mean to contribute to what is deemed to us as genocide, but just like you, I have to stand in front of the truth and behind it I can not lie nor hide.Pollute my brain, slander my name, get mad at me when to another I do the same; lack of communication, poor representation. A failure to communicate; so in turn no love is increased but only a reason to dislike and when mixed with passionate and intense emotions, only another reason to hate! Discriminate, because maybe I’m not good enough and truth be told, maybe I never was. You say that it’s because of me that she does the things she does. What I will say is that I’m smart enough to take accountability for my faults; but not dumb enough to hold guilt for the actions of others. If you chose not to teach me the easy way, then I guess I will have to learn the hard way. Too smart to be mentally incapable of knowing right from wrong; and yet dumb enough to not realize that with continued poor choices, the suffering will be prolonged. Perhaps I’m foolish and then again I’m wise, but the poison is implanted above the eyebrows and in between the eyes. What troubles my mind is not what is no longer in front, but now behind; its genocide I tell, you; its Genocide!!

"Assault with a Verbal Weapon," is the follow-up memoir to the book "Panning For Gold" which takes you on a poetic trip through the lessons of young adulthood. Chapters 13-22, follows a 19 year old young man who has recently been emancipated from the system as a ward of the state after 13 years and is now having to come to terms with and face the music of life in the real world as a game of "musical chairs" begin to unfold!
About the Author
Doneareum(Don) Winston is a young man that has been on a journey to understand the sole and core purpose of "self" and the limitless potential and possibilities that the "inner man/woman" is truly capable of. Winston was an orphaned child along with his siblings; who had a higher inclination for "self expression" be it written or verbal when it comes to communicating amongst the people in our world and society. Winston was a troubled child who grew up with the desire to conquer the demons of his past as a child and young adult. Winston is also scholarly, and spiritual and credits his faith in God for his purpose in life; for his ability and will to constantly seek knowledge and gain wisdom about a little of everything that affects the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of people in general for the good and bad. Winston enjoys traveling (flying) to places he has never been to explore and learn about, as well as enjoy the beauty of nature and its scenery, for it brings him "peace of mind." Winston is also married with children and at 26 years old and the author of two books about his life experiences thusfar. Winston is thankful and grateful to God for enduring and so today he copes, vents, and gives back by confronting these issues through communication.
