About the Book
A little boy who is special to the family is born and the parents, grandparents
and friends are so excited, they rush to meet him and everyone seems to
congregate in his room. They bring toys, books, furniture, clothes, stuffed
animals, balls, bats, sleds, everything you can imagine, just looking forward
to his being born. At the end of the story, Nathanael cannot get into his room
due to the fact that too many things, visitors and pets(his cats) are in the room.
This book was approached by Public Broadcasting System. The book is in
rhyme and is suitable for all children especially those six years old and
younger.
As a suitable workshop book, first of all, due to the fact that in the back of the book, Nathanael leaves a blank page for the children who read his book to
draw something that they have in their room. Nathanael wanted to draw
some of the articles that were mentioned by the author, his grandmother,
Eileen Erikson thus she advised him to invite the reader to add to their own
book included in their very own copy. The illustrator of the cover is Marge
Townsend and the inside pictures were done by Lara Lombardo who is a
very talented young woman but drew the pictures as a teen with Autism.
