About the Book
THE PRINCIPAL is a novel about James Rahin, a young man whose goal is to become a Superintendent of Schools.
After becoming certified as a school administrator, James obtains a job as a vice principal. When the school's principal esigns, Jim is appointed to the vacancy. His years as the school's principal brings him into conflict with his superintendent, staff, students and members of the board of education.
James Rahin faces challenges involving drugs, violence and sex. The sory meld the lives of students teachers and other school related personnel into a colorful collage of conflict.
Anyone who is or has been associated with a high school will be able to relate to the story situations that evolve. The conduct and dilemmas depicted in the novel are being played out in a school near you.
About the Author
David Abraham is the author of three other novels, THY FATHER'S SEED, FLIGHT FROM ALBEROBELLO and LOVE AND PROMISE.
Mr. Abraham has been an educator for over forty-six years as a theacher, guidance counselor, principal and superintendent. He is presently the president of the educational consulting firm: SCHOOL EVALUATORS.
David lives most of the year in Lake Suzy, Florida were he is active as an actor and director for the Charlotte Players of Port Charlotte, Florida. He spends his summers in New Hartford, New York were he does most of his writing and consulting.
