Garnet had done everything he could think of to link with the thoughts of this man but was getting nowhere. With great trepidation, he positioned himself on the set of buttons between Liam and the screen. Garnet did not like what he felt from this glowing thing but it seemed to have no immediate effect and he hoped this powerful magic of humans would do no harm. Garnet, focussing all his energy and thinking the heaviest thoughts he could, dropped down on the button which was the first symbol of what he hoped was Liam’s name. Liam, stretching, blinked and pressed the delete key. The letter ‘L’ appeared again on the screen. Liam checked his emails and prepared to shut down and get some rest. He had mustered enough help to give the developers a great deal of trouble. The letter L appeared again on the screen followed by iam. Liam deleted the letters and his name appeared again. "What the…..?" came the thoughts as Garnet at last linked with Liam who, being tired and less intent on the magic box was easier to reach. "Garnet!" The name came into Liam’s head from nowhere just as he saw his name appearing on the screen, over and over again. Liam’s name filled the screen whilst at the same time in his mind he heard the same words over and over – "I am Garnet, listen to me, I am Garnet listen to me." Liam rolled up one of his grass sticks, lit the end, and moved away from his laptop to lie out on a small bed. "OK, whoever you are, Garnet, I am listening"………………..

During one Summer in a remote Cornish town, the lives of a group of travellers, a hard headed property developer, an artist of unusual talent and a colony of fairies are reluctantly brought together.
Several of the encounters in the book are taken from real life accounts of meetings with nature spirits.

About the Author
Briany Barnes lives with her husband, a reiki healer and teacher on the North Somerset coast. They grow organic food and try to live with regard for, and in harmony with the environment. Briany enjoys long walks in the surrounding woodlands, coast paths and the Gordano Valley and plays folk fiddle in local pubs with her harmonica musician husband.
The inspiration for The Dragons Are In came from the nature spirits themselves who appeared to ask that their stories be told and many encounters she has read of or been told about. Medium, Briany, has had her own mystical experiences, including a meeting with a tree spirit and feels that we must now appreciate that our planet is a living being.
