An update of the Scots (Fusilier) Guards Regimental History of the Crimea War campaign 1854-1856, with updates which make up for the shortage of realistic detail from that hard fought campaign. Also some answers to questions that have not yet been answered in open forum, for example, what was the real reasoning behind the Dormant Commission given to General Sir George Cathcart, and why was the 1st Division made up from the regiments of the Brigade of Guards and the Highlanders?
This book needs to be published for the sake of true history being told, and for the RHQ of the Scots Guards to answer questions, beginning with the reality of the Lady Butler painting of the Scots Guards saving the colours at Alma.

About the Book
The book has been written purely because the time has arrived when the Internet and the true meanings of British History have come to meet rather than pass, and so the story of the Scots (Fusilier) Guards troubled time during their campaign in the Crimea 1854-1856, needs to be updated building on the original history, remembering that the future begins with history.
About the Author
Norman Hughes spent twenty years in the ranks of the Scots Guards 1956-1976. He now lives, retired, in Sevastopol where he allocates time to supporting English speaking tutorial groups, conducting voluntary tours and generally being of sound use.
