About the Author

Throughout her life Yvonne Daily has learned how to live frugally. She remembers, at four years of age, living in a one-room cabin with her parents. Everything was cooked from scratch on a wood stove. The aroma of pancakes blending with the scent of pine trees in the mountain air and damp earth is a sweet memory of hers. Playing without store-bought toys and using simple imagination taught her not to expect happiness, but to create it. Throughout the years, her thoughts focused on how to be a better person and help serve others. The author spent vacation time in building houses for Habitat for Humanity. She has been known to give free hair cuts to the homeless, hoping it would help them find employment. She loves sharing knowledge about growing a garden and preparing herbal remedies. Yvonne, of Cherokee ancestry, believes that no matter how bad we may think things are, there is always someone somewhere who would love to have a smidgen of what we take for granted. It is her intent that this book will serve to relieve the stress in people as well as show them simple ways to survive.
