Today is Julia's first swimming lesson and she can't wait! For a little extra luck she wears her favourite necklace in the world, and what seems to be a normal first lesson turns out to be the exact opposite! When it comes to Julia and her imagination and you will never know what happens next!

About the Author

Bre began writing creatively from a very young age. As she began to blossom, both teachers and her parents began entering Bre in different creative writing competitions....which she frequently won. But it wasn't about the first place ribbons that kept her motivated. As Bre grew not only did her love of reading and writing increase, but so did her imagination. She became inspired by authors such as Robert Munsch to embrace pure imagination and let go of reality, and soon, moved on to writers such as Stephen King, Stephanie Meyer and J.K. Rowling. Authors who took otherworld ideas and transformed them into works of art. "It is the authors who take bizarre ideas and make me believe in them who have truly convinced me of their talents", Bre has said. Eventually Bre hopes to progress into the world of young adult and adult fiction, but for now, letting go of reality and embracing the wonderous world of a child's imagination is what motivates and inspires her. Witness the different stages of her niece Julia was the first step in her journey. "As she grows, so does her invisible world....I just try my hardest to be part of it!" Bre laughs. Now, as Bre witnesses the emergence of her own son's imagination her motivation has increased ten-fold. Her first book, "The Treasure Chest" is one of his favourites, and apparantly a local favourite as well in her hoe town of Stoney Creek, Ontario Canada. With the imaginations of her niece, nephew and most importantly her son behind her, Bre continues to write her imaginative tales.
