About the Book

      This is a story about a little girl that had a special gift.  It  symbolizes all children and their uniqueness.  The setting is in a big city where things move fast and parents are constantly rushing to and fro.  Sometimes these parents are in their own world and forget to slow down to take the time out to share the beautifulness of their children's. 

The purpose of this book is to show each parent what great a gift they have been given in their child.  Also, to express to each child reading this book, that they are beautifully made, uniquely created and always loved.

            My hopes are that children will no longer be afraid of the dark, neither be afraid of life.  They will see that they are the closet source to God. Children are powerful and strong. They have enough love to illuminate the entire world.  We should show great care for our children of this world, for they are our future. May God bless all the children of this world.

About the Author

    I was born in raised in the heart of North Philadelphia.  I grew up an only child of both parents, whom decided to go their separate ways when I was just a tot. I’ve always had a passion for children.  When I was thirteen years of age, my mother became pregnant with Bianca.  I thought, “Great, God has answered my prayers, now I will have a sister to share life with.” Sadly, she was born pre-mature and only lived to be three months old.  So I am inspired by her beauty and delicateness of life. I’ve always held her dear to my heart and felt that she was too precious for this world.  So now she is my guardian angel. 

                        Too many children are being deprived of being raised in a united family front. Most families (especially in minority groups) are of broken homes that are dysfunctional.  Children learn patterned behaviors and clearly demonstrate the pain that they see through reliving their childhood experiences as adolescents.

 My objective was to show every boy and girl that they are unigue and very intelligent. Despite the discord amongst those that are in the world around them, they can still live a beautiful life.  I want children to follow their good hearts and great dreams.  I want children to make a stand for what’s “right” instead of falling for what’s “wrong”.  Children hold the key to a brighter future and I want to inspire them to remain pure and conquer success.   Every child possesses that “light” that Bianca portrayed.  They are full of love, they are leaders, they have creative imaginations, they know no foul until taught, they are pure, they are special….get the point….children are the “light” of the world.
