About the Book

Just a lemon is quite simple all about this humble zesty, aromatic and nutritional yellow fruit. The book covers a brief history of the lemon, description, production and nutritional benefits together with a list of tips and did you know facts and a host of savory and sweet recipes and mouth watering pictures. I am lucky enough to have written this book more often than not in the sunshine, as I live on the coast in the Provence of Andalucía Southern Spain. A little hot spot known as the Costa Tropical of Granada and yes give or take a few days we do generally benefit from sunshine most of the year round. Lemons in this part of the world are a must have and practically every cortijo, plot of land, garden, roof terrace or patio is not complete without at least one lemon tree. I was inspired to write this book by a Spanish friend of mine who continually has an abundance of lemons growing in her garden but wasn´t really sure what to do with them all.

About the Author

I have lived in Spain with my young sons for some 8 years and can honestly say we have slipped into the Spanish way of life with ease. Believing as the Spanish do that there is always mañana and to be tranquilo!! I studied to become a chef at a college in Mid Wales. I loved the 2 year course, which covered all aspects of catering, but I particularly excelled in the practical side of the kitchen. On finishing college I moved to the South of England to my first job as comis chef in a country manor outside Brighton. I continued to move around England working in different environments and held a variety of positions gaining lots of experience. My last move to date was way south across the water to Southern Spain and present day, I have now come full circle and work as a freelance chef and create bespoke English style wedding cakes for expats and have now written my first book.
