About the Author

Stephanie Stockdale, Author

Stephanie Stockdale resides in Norfolk, Virginia along with her daughter Sidney.  Stockdale is a graduate of The Governor’s School for the Performing Arts.  She also holds a BS in Criminal Justice and M.A. in Applied Sociology from Old Dominion University.  She was appointed as a 1999 Governor’s Fellow with the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  She has several years of teaching experience on the collegiate level in the areas of criminal justice and sociology.  Stockdale enjoys writing, traveling and spending time with her family.

Sean C. Cooper, Illustrator

Sean C. Cooper resides in Norfolk, Virginia.  He is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.  He is also a gifted artist, animator, and screenwriter.  His favorite genres of film and literature are science fiction and action.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family.  For this book, the illustrator used magic markers and created each picture by hand to infuse and blend the many colors.  His goal is to make the drawings appeal to children and to inspire them to believe that they can create drawings just like his.
