The author believes it takes someone that has been through the experience to be able to relate and understand what a compulsive gambler and their loved ones are going through. Addictions aren't all the same, you can live without drugs and alcohol but the gambler's can't live regular life without money, Money is what fuels our addiction. About the Author
The author of this book is a surburban family man that worked as a salesman. He has been married almost 30 years with two children. Active in his community, a volunteer, a youth coach for his children. Became a pathological gambler late in life, did illegal acts to support his habit and ended up on two years pre-trial release, sentenced to 33 months in a medium security federal prison and three years probation. Almost eight years of freedom lost due to playing lottery games and a loss of over $100,000 in restitution not counting the money lost in actual gambling and lost retirement savings. A thankful family man that gets to have another chance and wants to share his experiences to help others.
