I think back to that day when our trial
and tribulation began. Every one of
us has the possibility to awaken the
devil and to stir evil inside of us. By
this I mean that each one of us has
“free will.” We choose between
right or wrong.Bernardo Castillo, a
husband, father, son, and my
brother whose trial and tribulations
has changed everyone’s life forever
is about to be told.
“Baby, we’ll be at Wal-Mart in just a
minute,” said Paolo to his four year
old son.
“Daddy your phone is ringing.”
“I got it honey.”
“Hello, what, what are you saying?”
“Mom calm down.” “He is wanted by
the police for what?” “Mom, I’m
coming, calm down.” “Baby, we
have to go to Nona’s house.” “Let me
turn the car around and we’ll come
back later.” I needed to focus on my
driving while I try to hurry to mom’s
house.
My heart was pounding. What does
she mean my brother Bernardo is
going to jail? He’s mister try to do
things right in life and try to help
others.
We’re finally here.
The palms of my hands are starting to sweat and I can feel my heart pounding in my ears as I ring the doorbell. I knew February 7th would be a day marked in our lives as one we would never forget. The doorbell rang a few more times and the door opened slowly with my mother standing behind it as she looked smaller than her usual 5‘2 chubby frame. If that is possible!

About the Author
Patrizia C. Dominitz is looking for the truth. She has heard and seen people lie, cheat, manipulate and physically hurt others. Through her book she is hoping people will realize WE need to love our neighbors before we can ever wish to live in a peaceful world.
She was born in Paterson, New Jersey to parents that emigrated from Italy. At the age of two they moved to Elmwood Park, New Jersey with her new baby brother. Her parents were considered Lower Middle Class. "We grew up with everything we needed. We had love, laughter, compassion, God, and an understanding of who we were. We were first generation Americans that knew at an early age we needed to be educated to fulfill of our dreams."
She received her high school diploma from Paramus Catholic High School, Paramus, New Jersey. She went on to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a minor in Marketing from William Paterson College, Wayne, New Jersey. Years later, She felt her calling was to help children. She earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at The University of West Florida, Pensacola, Florida.
