About the Book

This book is a collection of thoughtful rhymes and inspirational poems I have written over the years. It is my belief that everyone has a talent which they should use to glorify God and as a teenager I discovered writing poetry happened to be one of mine and an avenue for self expression. In this book, I have drawn on different themes and aspects of life and human emotions which I have taken from observations and from my own thoughts, feelings and experiences as a Christian young woman. You may agree or even find you identify with some of the thoughts and sentiments expressed, but my underlying message to my readers is to be encouraged and reminded that God is always there for you and He never sleeps. God has a good plan for each and every one of us no matter what we have gone through or what we are currently experiencing in life, so never give up on your hopes, your prayers and dreams.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

About the Author

The author Arlene Baptiste is the 3^rd of 4 daughters born on the 12^th May 1975. She was raised in the SDA church and is committed to her Christian faith. She has drawn strength from trusting God and believes in the great plans and purposes that He has for her own life. Over the years she has experienced God’s supernatural strength and restoring power. She finds joy in expressing her thoughts through poetry and is passionate about her beliefs. By compiling this book, it is her desire that readers discover God for themselves and experience His unconditional Love. She believes that though many times in our humanness we doubt God, we must remember that He can and will give us the strength to never give up on our hopes and dreams. God has the very best in store for all who believe in Him and call on his name, so continue praying and keep on believing!
