About the Book

The Witch Of Hambone series was written mainly for children. It starts out with a young girl, Tanya, being befriended by Harriet, the local village witch. The witches in my books are not the run of the mill type witch, as you find when you read the first book. They do not ride broomsticks or wear pointed hats, they work with the birds and animals, who help them to defeat evil, and make village life a better everyday experience.

About the Author

I only started writing as a hobby, something to pass on to the younger members of our family. I found that people, especially the children, liked my stories so much, and was urged to get them published by those who have read some of these stories. When I retired, I started to look up my ancestors, and eventually made a family tree book, this is what started me off on the writing. Now, at coming 71 years, I find it very satisfying being able to do something like this. I was told by my English teacher, many years ago, that I would never read and write properly, well, I think I have proved her wrong on that count?
