Over the last hill they flew and across the river. As Barnabee gazed upon a town for the first time he was so astonished at the sight of all the strange buildings that he forgot to keep flapping his wings. He went into a crash dive and was falling through the air, towards a huge clump of trees, so quickly that he was unable to get his wings working again.
