DeShawn grew up in a New York City Housing Project. Being the youngest of five children and sometime having to act like the oldest made things that much harder. She always felt as though she was the cause of everything that went wrong in her house. From her father’s M.I.A to her brother’s lock down, DeShawn decided to do her own thing and boy was she wrong…
About the Author
The author keeps it real in regards to the struggles of living life on life’s terms, trying to fit in, marriage at an early age, divorce, religion, the churches, night life, abandonment issues, and how she turned things around. She obtained her master’s degree and is currently employed in law enforcement and is currently an elder in her church.
