My original interest in the paranormal began when I was young. It started when father spoke with me about hypnotism. I realised the power of the mind at all levels at that age and developed through personal experience a knowledge of the paranormal/spiritualism. I moved naturally because of these early experiences through spiritualism at various Spiritualist Churches but a lifelong searching for “other worlds” was undoubtedly fostered or increased by personal experiences, same of which are detailed in the book.

About the Author
Garry Kirk was born in 1930 at Denholme, near Keighley. He spent his early childhood at Kingston-upon-Hull, but was evacuated to Thornton, near Bradford, during the 1939 - 45 war, later moving across the valley to Clayton, where he lived for almost twenty years.
He attended Bradford Grammar School and then Bradford College of Art, where he studied commercial art for two years before his national service in the RAF.
He later qualified as an architect and was in private practice in Dewsbury.
His principal hobby was the recording of old buildings within the West Riding and he concentrated on his studies of the many old Yorkshire homesteads and also of buildings of note which have now been demolished within the Huddersfield area. He died in July 2007.
