Fate of the Gods

“THAT HEATHEN SNAKE! He dares to march my army, my people and my flag against me? Why is he doing this? Does the past mean so little to him? I will have my answer, even if I have to tear it from his throat myself. This betrayal goes unforgiven!”

Darkness consumed the land. Although the night sky was clear, Hann, the guardian king of Fort Ankh could only think about the horror that awaits him on his very doorstep.

Just moments earlier, the sky was gleaming with the sun’s rays but this was the day of the final Saros. The sun was eclipsed by the pale moon, and thus the sky was turned to an unsettling twilight in an instant, which seemed to have brought with it an army of darkness.

As a warrior turned sovereign in a strange twist of fate, Hann felt more at ease on the battlefield with a bloody face than dealing with the formalities of being a ruler. Nevertheless, Hann was not one to shun responsibility and would bear any burden or crush any enemy that threatened his country or those closest to him, for that was the kind of man he was.

And so, as Hann looked upon this army before him, from atop his fortress, a voice shouted to him, “Hann! Your legions are prepared and wait your command!”
