Chapter Sixteen

I arrived in D.C. a married woman with a child, and without both. I was still wet behind the ears too. I thought that I was so grown but I was so wrong and if I had to learn it anywhere here was a place to start me off. Cynthia used to live in D.C. and look how she turned out. She has Daddy’s house, which Barbara and Uncle Dollar will probably move with her. I wasn’t worried about that. All I wanted was to go out and have fun.

I thought that my family would get mad at Ray but they weren’t. They were disgusted with me though. I didn’t care. As a matter of fact we went out every night. I got high so much more than I ever did. It was just joints. I needed something extra so I started to get drunk too. At that point we went to every club in town and surrounding areas.

I started to see other men. That was something new. The fact that I was actually cheating made me one bold ass bitch. I experienced dick outside of my husband. I even at one point started doing things that I had never done with my husband. They were giving me gifts and money. Some of the men were crazy though. I had some stalkers. I think that this behavior was starting to affect Ray. I hadn’t even noticed that he was clean. That year was something else. I had the time of my life. I wasn’t even thinking about anyone else.
