'It was a strange land, he decided, or at least it was having a strange effect upon him.  He hadn't expected to find himself so far into wilderness.  He had imagined a lofty residence in a park or formal garden, but instead found himself in a fortress in the middle of nowhere.  The landscape was rugged, the animals wild and the weather - to say the least - changeable.  It was a potent mix and right now it was running through his veins, controlling him.  He had thought there was nothing left to do that was exciting.  He had been wrong, oh boy!  This was raw, unpredictable and it was exhilarating.'
