About the Book

On the highest peak of the mountainous resort sits a strict convent school for girls. Tammy, Marina and Betty wait in anticipation for the arrival of the Hamilton sisters. When Anya and Sacha Hamilton turn up at the school they have to contend with getting used to being away from home, all the strict rules, the girls at the school and not to mention the ghosts in the corridors. Who would have known that the girls would be thrown together to experience the greatest adventure of their lives? A tale about secrecy, mystery and courage. Above all a story about how everlasting friendships are formed. Learn more about my next book at www.anjalimittal.com

About the Author

Anjali Mittal, a graduate from the University of York is a mother of two who understands how important it is for children to read. The author of The Convent Rules, an adventure story for children, has a diverse international background. The different cultures and environments has given her an extraordinary insight into all walks of life and these experiences are reflected in the characters and setting for this story. Having attended a boarding school herself from an early age has provided the author with the opportunity to amuse the readers with some tales of real life experiences that have been challenging, full of incident but not without their trials and tribulations. The author believes in encouraging children to read by making books stimulating and different to their day to day lives so that they get fully immersed into the fictitious fantasy. As a first book, this one is aimed as an adventure story for young readers, introducing them to a simple plot. The author intends for each subsequent book to get more complex. Short-listed for the 2009 'Write a story for children' competition. Comment from judges of The Academy of Chidren's writers - 'you obviously have an understanding of young people that impressed our panel. A quality that is invaluable to a would-be children's writer. This, together with your 'way of words' indicates a natural talent.'
