To redeem us by his birth
Cleanse us of sin so we
Forever pure and holy be.
From child to manhood he grew
Preaching of the love he knew
Into the temples he went
Where the money was ill spent.
He tried to teach that you should
Only do what is good
Be kind to your fellow man
And help him all you can.
As he went from town to town
Crowds of people gathered around
To cleanse the world of sin
And were proud to follow him.
