Later, the tragic death of Kebi fuelled the quest for vengeance in Mooze and the eventual death of his cousin Cici in the fight for Kebi’s hand in marriage. Mooze were irreconcilable affair in the context of love and relationships formed in this manner. He spent his youth pursuing his adversary – his friend – whom he claimed was responsible for the death of Cici his cousin and Kebi his wife. The young man finished his story, looked at Maoi, and said, “Did you like the story?” “Yes,” said Maoi. “`But I want to see you tonight when your sister and her husband are asleep. I want you to come to my room,” said the young man. Maoi accepted because she knew if she didn’t, she might be asked to replace the plate. He kissed Maoi, but Maoi, who had never kissed a man before, quickly walked away looking very shy.
