About the Book

A boy named Matt, who lives in a cozy house in the woods with his mom and dad loves to go into the woods. One day, he finds a dog that he names Max. Together, they become best friends. Max and Matt are in for exciting, scary, and memorable adventures.

About the Author

Derek Butcher is ten years old, and lives in Boca Raton, FL, with his parents, sister, and brother. He loves to write stories and play baseball. One day he wants to pitch for the New York Yankees. He has two dogs, one which was adopted at the local animal shelter. He calls him his mixed up dog.

A portion of each book’s profits will be donated to local animal shelters.
