Enough Double Standard

            I invite the people who like to blame Arabs for every horrible act to go back and do some reading. Read some history. See how the Jewish state of Israel was established before you say we are terrorists. In fact, insisting on making false and baseless accusations is the terrorism itself and the one who insists on it is a terrorist. After you do some reading, researching, and considerable thinking, answer this question: Where was the state of Israel before 1948? Nowhere! Israel is a new invention, invented, composed, and created by America and England. Israel cut a piece of land from the Palestinians, kicked them out of their homes, murdered them, hit their women and children, and stabbed pregnant women with their daggers in their stomachs to kill them and their unborn babies. I have an American friend who once told me that he is always against Arabs and Muslims and he supports Israel all the time. When I asked why, the answer was unclear at all. I am writing this to explain an important matter to him and to all the moderate people who like to know what is really going on. In order to judge other people, you should first be knowledgeable of what is happening. Don’t just go on your accusations without having the simplest ideas about anything. It is totally wrong to give yourself the right to offend others without any base of knowledge or experience.

            I am Egyptian and I know how Israel acts. We had four wars with Israel. The first war was when Israel with the help of America and Egnland usurped the land of the Palestinians in 1948. The second war was in 1956 when England, France, and Israel attacked and bombed the Egyptian state of Port Said. They made it like Gaza and even much worse. The 1956 triple attack on Port Said was a reaction of an important announcement of the late Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser. Abdel Nasser nationalized the Suez Canal. Nasser said the Suez Canal is Egyptian. It is in the Egyptian land and it is ours. England, France, and Israel did not like the announcement and demolished the houses of Port Said on the heads of its people, the same way Israel has been doing for decades now with Palestinians.

The third war was in 1967, which is known as the six days war or whatever they like to call it. In that war, Israel did the same aggressive acts she does now in Palestine, demolished the three states overlooking Suez Canal: Port Said, Suez, and Ismailia. The people of the three states, who were not killed in the horrible Israeli offensive, had to leave their homes for eight years. In fact, only some of them were able to return home after eight years and it took the others longer to go back. They were scattered in all the other states and governorates of Egypt. That is why, we Egyptians, feel the pain and loss of Palestinians strongly. Their suffering is hard to imagine or describe. They sacrificed a lot, and after that President Bush asks Hamas to stop firing its rockets at Israel. You have never been fair or moderate Mr. President. You could still do a great deal in your last few days of presidency but you are not interested as you always talk down about those people. How come you expect them to like or respect you? We are the ones who can make people love or hate us. Look at all the demonstrations in America and the moderate world, which ask Israel to stop. However, you and Rice are giving us your invaluable statements about the ‘durable and sustainable cease fire.’ Lord Have Mercy!
