Proceeds from this book are given to organizations that support the health, growth, education, and happiness of children. The Gift of Giving is a picture book that promotes the development of word recognition and language skills in children while reminding the reader of the importance of giving.

About the Author

The author of The Gift of Giving is an Ob/Gyn in Asheville, NC. She was inspired by her patients to create a book encouraging support for children's charities. She hopes that parents celebrating the arrival of their newborn will celebrate the lives of children everywhere. The illustrator of the book, Karen Ferguson, received a bachelor of fine arts from the University of Houston and currently teaches art to 5th and 6th graders. She resides in Texas and enjoys living in the country with her husband and bunnies.
