Restoration
Even though you messed up yesterday and you don’t feel good about yourself now, just get up and brush it off and try again somehow. The Lord knows we all fall short of the glory sometimes, so he understands your situation; the Lord is always around waiting to give restoration. Yes, it feels bad how I could have done this again. Remember you are not perfect; and because you are trying at the end, you will win. Don’t hold on to yesterday’s mistake if the Lord is willing to forgive you. He understands you are a child he is teaching and molding and guiding. Through this world full of sin and deception, get up and try again to repent and ask for a new direction. He adores your faithfulness, and realizing that you were wrong makes his job easier to teach you. Now shake it off and move on. If you hold on to the guilt and shame you feel and if God has already forgiven you, the enemy will use it against you—and you will never heal. As we grow as children do—if you have ever noticed—we are children to him, and all he expects from us is our best.
So just get up and dry your eyes and fix your clothes to continue on your journey of hope.

About the Book
My book is a variety of poems, short stories, and inspirational scriptures and that has helped me along the way. Actually the book points out some parts of my own testimony. There are some prayers that I actually prayed on some days that I was down. I want the readers to know that we have some up and down days but we will be o.k. if we just keep on going. Even when we are feeling at our lowest, god still provides us with his love and kindness and it is important to know that he will never leave us. This book is directed to anyone who is seeking the lord, also those who are currently walking with him but just need to be encouraged a bit to get through the day. There may be something in the book that may stick with someone for the rest of their lives or perhaps share with some one that they know. I wanted this to be contagious. The book also backs up the statement of, "We may not be where we want to be, but we are not where we used to be."
About the Author
I have come to realize that we all need to hear about the up and down days while walking on this journey with Christ. I was inspired to write a book in 2004. My goal is to reach people who are just starting out with their faith and having a hard time going through things also, to have my own outreach services one day. I want to encourage the ones who get weary while running in this race as well. I have gone through many walks of life at an early age. I thank God for delivering me. I have been preserved to be a wittness. I learned to write my emotions down on paper while I was going through the many pains and joys of life. I had heard about God and I got to know him. A time in my life had come where I knew that I would not survive without the lord. Once I dedicated my life to the lord, he wanted me to do his work. Writting my feelings through poetry came naturally. I am believer that trouble don't last always. The only way I know how to deal with this world and the word of God is to be real about it I like to share my testimony so that others can see how the lord has worked wonders in my life. I am currently a student at The Hartford Seminary studying a variety of courses. I'm a member of Greater St.Paul Baptist Church, where Bishop Leroy Davis is the founder and pastor. I attend Capital community collage and my major is social work. I am looking to further my education to teach and serve the community as the lord orders my steps.
