Tammy Kunde was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. A member of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians, she lives in a small community in southeastern Minnesota. There she and her husband, Mark, raise their granddaughter Sage. Tammy began writing poetry, and then the idea for this book started to materialize.
She is also a hot-glass artist and jewelry designer. The beads that she makes go into some of her jewelry pieces.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Julius Petersen of Denmark, a retired teacher and valued friend for teaching me how to believe in myself and to how to trust again. With his help I also learned the valuable concept of patience. Thanks my friend, this book is also in your honor.
