The air was cold and crisp on his early morning walk from the parking garage to the science library in the west wing of Oval Wood Hall. Small snow flakes fell from the clear winter's sky and gathered together on his black felt coat leaving traces of small white crystals scattered here and there. The small traces of grey throughout his neatly trimmed hair seemed to dissapear next to the tiny snowflakes that didn't make it all the way to his coat. Jim had a serious, yet compassionate face. His eyes glowed with precious memories and hopes that filled his heart.

About the Author
Author and Pastor Tom Garrison is currently attending Mount Vernon Nazarene Univeristy in Mount Vernon, Ohio where he will obtain a degree in ministry and literature.
As an associate pastor, a full time father, a full time husband, and a full time retail manager Tom still finds time to further his studies in the field of herpetology with the ODNR.
Tom is currently finishing his second fictional work and also planning on printing one of his natural field guides or journals.
