About the Book

"Both Ah Dem" introduces poetry in Standard English and Dialect. Their inseperability draws the Reader into the world of Poetry and Prose.

The book records history, as in "To Mandela" and offers:

• challenges, in "We're Fighting Again"
• encouragement in "Youths" and
• Humour in "Gossip" and "Boat Ride."

About the Author

Mr. Harvey Hendrickson is a citizen of the Federation of St. Christopher -Nevis, in the Caribbean.  He is a retired Law Enforcement Officer - Police/Fire Officer, with thirty-six (36) years experience.

Mr. Hendrickson commenced his writings of Poetry in 1984, on the island of Nevis.  His Anthologies to date are "Reflections," "Children's Delight" and "The Voice of a Caribbean Man," which were published in 1989, 1992 and 1993, respectively.

Much of his work has been featured in the local Press and he has done several readings both locally and internationally.

Mr. Hendrickson is a "World of Poetry" Golden Poet Award Winner  and a distinguised Lifetime Member of the International Society of Poets Organization. He was also recognised by this organisation for his contribution of an original poem to The World's Largest Poem For Peace.
