A War Renewed
ALFHEIM FOREST, nighttime at the campsite of Thor and Zavegun, they are feasting on the bisonbore and chat about their past adventures, Thor talks about the battle when they fought a dragon that had a innocent woman trapped ready to devour her. He reminisces about how he took Mjollnir and broke the dragon’s jaw and then Zavegun how he climbed up the dragon’s neck and slew it with his bare hands. Now Zavegun remembers an adventure where they battled the Troll Trulic from Nidavellir. Trulic was given magical powers from the dark elf Uryun to destroy the Alfheim kingdom. Trulic created a band of rock Trolls to battle Thor and Zavegun to prevent them from aiding the kingdom. They defeated Trulic and his rock Trolls, then they confronted the evil and ruthless dark elf Uryun. Uryun gave them a very difficult time one of the most powerful villains they have ever faced.
They had to have aid from the Alf king to defeat Uryun, those days they rejoice in and Zavegun miss them. From a distance the sound of many horses are galloping towards them, out of the forest path seven robed and hooded riders come from the hunt and stop a short distance near the campsite. One raises his hand and salute them bidding to come into their campsite, Zavegun ask who wants to enter and then one of the hooded ones in the mist of the riders moves his horse forth before them and remove his hood. It is the Alf king Agorem. A strong stature and mighty in authority dismount from his horse and break bread with his friends, together the three go back in time and chat about the days the three of them journeyed across the lands. Deep in the dark forest eyes watch them all in the campsite, piercing at there every move looking for that one opportunity.
The eyes in the forest comes closer and closer creeping up to where it can make that quick strike, unaware what is going on Thor, Zavegun and king Agorem continue their reminisce of their journeys of old. As they tell of their adventures a young Alf guard is very intrigued by the many adventure of the king, while he is focused on the tales the sentry that is guarding the camp hears a sound then quietly move out to investigate. The sentry moves towards the trees and look around in the dark, where he hears a slight sound of breathing. He then stops and looks up between two trees and vaguely sees an image. He then use a small torch for light to reveal a giant grotesque Troll hiding, he then warns the camp and just then the Troll take its massive club and mash it upon the sentry killing him. Suddenly the Troll leader gives a command to capture the king but kill the others.
The Trolls charge out of the trees with massive clubs, spears and axes, king Agorem pulls out a leather rod and the end of the rod turns into a glowing spiked ball revealing that the rod is a mace. As the Trolls charge several of them are forced backwards by a great force that kills them, and then they come to realize that it was the hammer of Thor. Zavegun takes hold of his blade and begin to slice the trolls up like shredded meat, the king’s guards are doing their best to defend the king, but they are not the skilled warriors as the three. Two are killed and one is wounded, the Trolls are maimed and slaughtered by Thor, Zavegun and king Agorem so the Troll’s leader sees that they are no match for the three skilled warriors. He looks around and sees that there are only a few of them left, so he gives the command to flee in the forest and save them selves. The three decided to give chase but there are wounded Trolls that will tell them what they need to know.
One of the wounded Trolls overhear what they said and he fears the one that sent them, so he speak to all the wounded Trolls and say, “My fallen comrades hear me, You know what will happen to us if we speak. It is best to die than to fall in the hands of him who sent us, you know what we must do.” and then the Trolls pick up weapons and then strike each other dead. Thor and the others look as they commit suicide, but there is one that is still alive no other Troll was there to aid him in its death, he has no arms and they gather around it. They ask the Troll questions but the Troll pleads for them to slay him; they refuse unless it tells them what they want to know. It refuses to speak on the matter but continue to tell them to slay him because it would be better to die than to go back to the one in defeat. They still refuse to slay him and the Troll see a spear sticking out of one of his dead comrades and then he rush towards it.
