Doing it His Way
It sounds rather vague. I guess it is. Hopefully, as the weeks progress, we’ll see what it looks like when we approach our condition ‘God’s Way’ Earlier on in the letter, I made mention of an atheist who went to church for a while, but it really didn’t help him in life. No doubt, there are hordes of people out there who have had the same sort of experience. There are Christians who have sought after some sort of healing and didn’t get it.
At the same time, I can confidently say that if we touch Jesus Christ in same way that the people did in Gennesaret (Matt 14), we will not walk away unchanged. That being said, God doesn’t always do exactly what we want or expect Him to do. God is not a vending machine. Here is how I see what He does for and in us – He meets our greatest need. Sometimes, what we really need is different than what we’re asking for.

At one time in your life, you may have thought to yourself, or you might have heard someone say something to this effect;
“God just doesn’t do that kind of thing anymore.”
The Bible is filled with stories about people who had God do amazing things for them. Some received loved ones back from the dead. Others were healed of their illnesses. We don’t always see the same kinds of miracles in our era. Or do we? Why is that? Are the stories of the Bible little more than fairy tales? Did God stop doing amazing acts?
There is a God, who still performs the miraculous in our time. He acts very much in the same way today that He did back in Biblical times.
