About the Book
Being in love gives you that euphoric feeling of being on top of the world where nothing can reach you, any pain or sorrow, only happiness. Then if your world is shattered by those words of good bye, farewell, I must leave you now... You plunge into a dismal abyss of hurt and loneliness, it's the end of your world, or so it seems. If you've been down this path you will relate to these poems and grasp their meanings. It was once said 'The line between joy and pain is mighty thin when love enters in'.
About the Author
I was born and raised in the mid west in Danville, Il. I worked for the telephone company. I was involved in the local community theater group “The Red Masked Players”. I also played banjo in a Bluegrass Group for a few years and Old Time Music with friends. I eventually relocated to Portland Maine with the Telephone Company. I wrote many poems by the light houses overlooking the ocean. When I retired after 34 years with the telephone company, my wife Joanne and I moved to Florida where we have lived for 20 years. We enjoy playing Old Time Appalachian String Band Music and now play in two bands throughout central Florida. I still love to write, although I miss the light houses and the ocean very much.
