About the Book
Braveheart's Dance is a book of poetry covering one girl's life as she struggle's through the harsh lessons thrown at her starting from the age of nine years old. She has to find the strength to overcome Sexual Abuse & being let down by family members. She faces this alone & finds herself in a violent relationship years later. Again she has to fight, alone. For the sake of her children she has to gain the confidence & courage to leave the life she has known for too many years. She needs to break the cycle if she's to give her children the life she never had.
Braveheart's Dance is about living through Domestic Violence as a young woman, learning to love, heartbreak, life, death & daring to love again. This is a book about self discovery & courage. It's the emotions of an everyday girl, written from the heart.
If you have ever been in any of these situations or want to understand how a person feels when on the receiving end of any of these experience's, then this book is for you. It's living proof that if you look inside yourself, you can get through anything. All you have to do is believe.
About the Author
T J Joinson is an ordinary young mother with three children, living in Sunderland, England. She currently attends the City of Sunderland University where she is studying English & Creative Writing as a mature student.
She come's from an unstable family environment & throughout her life has had to deal with abuse, being failed by family members & the British Justice System. Her life hasn't been easy but alone she has confronted it all.
She is living proof that life can get tough but with strength & courage we can achieve the things we deserve. She live's every day with a smile & her head held high, in a city that has captured her heart.
T J Joinson is no longer a 'victim', she is a 'SURVIVOR'.
