Find out how other people have succeeded in life and then copy their methods. Choose this route and you are sure to succeed in being more like them and less like yourself. How appealing does that sound?
Don’t spend too much time trying to find out how other people have succeeded in life. Create your own sources. You can do it.
I was never much of a copycat. I always wanted to be different and create my own success. It is a lot more fun if you make it up as you go. Then later when you’ve achieved your goals, you can read what others have said about you. You may find that you did some of the same things others did, except with a different twist. And that different twist is what will make you unique.
When I think back on my most notable achievements they were mostly accomplished by the seat of my pants. I had no model, no rules, nobody to compare myself to, and guess what? I did all right.
Some might ask, why would you take the different path and recreate the wheel if you don’t have to? Especially if somebody else has done it.
My answer to that question is, “It is better to make your own way.”
Besides, you can’t break a record that’s already been broken.
But you can set a new record.
Create a new category for yourself as you make your way through life.
Think anyone can beat you at your game? I doubt it. Invent your own wheel. It’s your game, and when you are at the top of your game, you will be hard to beat.
