About the Book

“If ever anyone exempli ed what it is meant by the ‘purpose-driven life’ it is surely professional Economist/academic administrator/imaginative artist and world citizen Richard Ward. In an era of moral laxity, Ward’s compelling autobiographical narrative illustrates how service to the greater communitya community that extends quite literally to the furthest reaches of the globecan provide intellectual, material, and even spiritual rewards to which most of us aspire. Having worn more hats than a haberdasher’s mannequinin government, industry and academeRich Ward has do ed o cial headgear in favor of less formal garb as a writer of award winning memoirs and highly praised crafter of doodles. By the end of this account in which his memories and images come to life, we know his current dungarees will be worn well and well-worn before he reaches the Pearly Gates!” -Prof. Richard J. Larschan English Department University of Massachusetts Dartmouth
