An Alien Landscape

About the Book

Set in modern-day London suburbia, Clarence is a worn out, cynical teacher whose mind is invaded by an alien scientist on a fact finding mission.  He begins to suffer blackouts, memory loss, and acts strangely.  A comedy of errors ensue which leads him from initial bewilderment, through confusion and despair, on to dismal disenchantment and resignation.  The action is interspersed with log entries describing the world and the human condition as observed by the alien.  They vary from basic observations of humans through to in-depth analysis of the social, economic and historical currents which permeate the planet.

About the Author

Euan McAllen works in the IT industry and lives in Christchurch in Dorset.  This is his second full-length fiction novel.  He has also completed over 60 poems to date.
