About the Book

“Love Is an Evolution of Pain” is a book of poetry in which Mahir Hossain paints a picture of his ex-girlfriend with his words. The cover looks promisingly heartbroken with pain and suffering of a true love, while the love of his life ripped the heart out of his chest and walked away with his heart on her hand with dripping blood. Mahir provides a nice variety of topics and poetic forms in the poems he writes here. Mahir Hossain takes life's sweetest and most  painful moments and shares them as poems. He shows in his poems that life is not appealing as it might seem, but life is about experiencing pain, joy, and suffering, and making it through, not always unscathed, but always intact and improved upon. The poems are genuine, passionate, and emotional. Many of the poems in “Love Is an Evolution of Pain” will remind people of the soft wisdom of relationships and love. Everyone can enjoy these poems.

About the Author

Mahir Hossain was born in Bangladesh but grew up in Queens, New York City. Mahir is currently a student at City University of New York, majoring in Computer Engineering Technology. His love is creative writing. Mr. Hossain brings life experience and the pain of lost love to bear in his writing.
