This was the situation in which my mother found herself. My father, the tower of strength for financial and directional support was a half a world away. Her loving mother, brother, and family questioned her new found salvation. The only reassurance she found was from a couple of new Christian friends. No one knew the hours of loneliness and fear she felt. No one understood her commitment to God. All alone without any human support she wrestled with her emotions. To complicate matters further I started developing a skin condition of unknown origin. My skin condition was open, weeping red sores from every fold and crease of my body. My condition was so bad I could not wear any clothing. All they could do for me was lay me on a pillow and turn me over and over to prevent my skin from breaking down further. What a mess! Can you picture this in your mind? The doctors' advice and medical treatment did not heal my condition. Some doctors advised to clean my skin with water, others said to use oil. Everything they were told to try didn't change my situation. I grew worse with every passing day. The doctors were now saying I needed to be admitted to the hospital for extensive testing. My mother didn't have the money or transportation to get back and forth from the hospital. By now, she and Mrs. Phillips were combing layers of scab and skin from my head to my feet. What a hopeless situation! What could my mother do? All seemed lost. But, Praise God!! my mother realized there was nothing she could do to change this situation, but pray and seek God's healing touch for her son. About the Book
Throughout history miracles have had a dramatic and significant impact on the affairs of “man” (mankind, both man and woman). Man longs for God's supernatural intervention in their lives. This touch of God is a part of God’s Spirit that He personally deposits deep within man’s soul. A loving call, an insatiable desire and hunger of the redeemed out from His heart to man’s heart, “deep calleth unto deep.” And God expects us to answer His call. It is a call unto repentance, restoration, and salvation. It is a call unto life, the life that is contained in the very heart and life of God. It is a call to know Him and His ways. Just the touch of His closeness sustains the hope and assurance that a loving God is personally involved with our daily human concerns. A God of power and authority is ever standing at the gates of our heart and soul knocking, ever ready to touch our human failures and heal our lack with His plenty. Praise God, for His love is ever overshadowing and uplifting our souls. The God of the harvest, from His store houses, stands at the ready to forgive us of our iniquity (translated from the Greek as lawlessness) and develop us so that we may be delivered from all unrighteous and disease. About the Author
This book has found its genesis in the author’s younger life and in his insatiable hunger in his older life to know God and His ways. Ordained, the author “Pastor Dave” is an international Bible Teacher and Senior Pastor of Christliche Gemeinde a Spirit-filled, very international, non-denominational church located in a small town outside the city of In August 2000, Pastor Dave retired at the rank of Lieutenant Commander from the United States Navy. His career spanned over 24 years from E2 to 04. He proudly served as a Hospital Corpsman in Naval Hospitals working in clinics, dispensaries, and the operating room, and with the United States Marine Corps deployed in combat and ashore. As an Officer he served as a Joint Medical Planner in the Medical Serve Corps also deployed in combat and ashore at many Service and Joint Headquarters. His formal educational back ground includes; receiving a Bachelors of Science from Southern Illinois University in Hospital Management in 1987 and a Masters of Science in Human Resource Management from The one thing most important to know about the author is he loves God and his family with all of his heart, mind, and spirit.
