About the Book

This is memories of my childhood, with my two sisters Sammie and Christine. It needs to be told. I have always tried not to think about this. The things that happened shouldn’t have happened. They did happen and they must be told. Every word is true. My Mother had two personalities. She had one that was so nice and the other was horrible. My Stepfather was insane. He couldn’t help the things he did to us. The other man that lived with Mother was evil.

Christine was the first child and she was so unwanted. She only was with us for five years. She was married three time and had three beautiful children. She never had a chance to be really happy. She passed away at the age of forty two.

Sammie was also married three times and she had four beautiful children. She also had a hard time. She raised the children by herself and also built a successful  business by herself. She passed away at the age of sixty two.

About the Author

Mae Stephenson was born in Collin County. That is north of Dallas, Texas. She lived through the depression. She lived in twenty five houses and apartments growing up. Times were very hard.

Mae married Jack Abernathy when she was sixteen. She married into a fun family. They liked to camp out and have family gatherings. This she liked. She liked sleeping under the stars and boating. She loved the water.

She worked; she and Jack build a good life. They had a beautiful son and enjoyed raising him. After he grew up Mae and Jack retired and traveled. They enjoyed travel. Mae always was a person that never met a stranger. Mae has four Grandchildren and they laugh at her because she talks so much to strangers.

Mae is now eighty three and still likes to talk.
