About the Author
Gwen Moore is a writer/poet who resides in the seaport city of Portsmouth, Virginia. She relays that without writing valuable voices would be unheard, historical patterns would lie undiscovered and the happenings of life would drift away as smoke on the wind. Writing gives meaning and permanence to those things which are lofty and intangible. She has worked with children of varying ages, physical and mental capabilities, but finds one characteristic they all share- the desire to be heard and understood. After all, to be heard is to be human and to be understood is to belong.
